The iae Global Group connects students from China, India, Korea and other countries around the world with educational institutions in the U.S., U.K., Australia, New Zealand, Canada and other destination countries. We are an industry leader in scale, global reach, quality, and reputation. In 2014 we placed over 20,000 students with graduate schools, universities, professional, vocational and language schools within our network of over 700 partner educational institutions.
In 2014, New Horizon Capital, a Japanese private equity firm, injected capital and acquired a majority stake in the iae Global Group. We are using the capital to deepen and expand our network in both student origination countries and major study destination countries.
We have a broad-based presence in major origination countries, as well as the destination countries where our partner educational institutions are located and our student clients are seeking to study. Our presence in destination countries means that we have closer relationships with and better knowledge about the institutions our students attend. Our onshore offices in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the UK also provide continuing support and after-care services for our students while they are studying abroad. Our presence in multiple origination countries means that we can offer educational institutions a balanced, diverse mix of students from a variety of countries.
Many students who are looking to experience an overseas education require a transitional program to meet the academic or linguistic requirements needed to enter top-tier universities or tertiary institutions. iae’s highly experienced Education Planners provide access to tailored pathway programs that prepare students to reach their desired institutions in carefully planned stages, starting with language instruction and basic academic foundations. Our onshore offices play a vital role in supporting students who have completed a language, pathway or tertiary program in moving forward with subsequent stages of their studies abroad.
We have developed an innovative and powerful IT and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform that enables our Education Planners to keep track of potential and registered students and to offer them information about educational institutions and opportunities tailored to the students’ interests and abilities.
Japan is a strategically important country within the iae Global Group. Japan is both an origination country for Japanese students seeking educational opportunities abroad and as a destination country for Chinese, Korean and other Asian students enrolled in Japanese universities and other educational institutions. The addition of Japan to our global network coincides with the urgent implementation of new policies by the Japanese government and business and academic establishments to improve Japanese higher education to meet global standards and to educate Japanese to work and communicate competitively in a global economic environment. We aim to be a leader in the growing bilateral educational exchange between Japan and the rest of the world.
